Nourish LA
Nourish LA is an L.A. based non-profit that collects extra food from local sources, shares it with Angeleños in need, and composts the leftovers, nourishing both community and environment.
A small organization with a big heart, Nourish LA loves to connect hungry neighbors with fresh food, but they needed help connecting with people online. I led Nourish LA’s website redesign with the goal of improving the site content and visuals. I edited, reorganized, and added new content to make the site clearer and more engaging. Paired with bold and fun graphics, the redesign helped Nourish LA show off their impact and friendly personality.

Site & Content Planning
I started with a site audit and found that Nourish LA’s site had cluttered main navigation and few visual or text cues to help lead users. I created a site map for the new site, removing extra menu items and reorganizing content to give users a clear path through the site. I used wireframes to lay out new content areas, brainstormed content ideas, and wrote new copy.

Visual Design
Nourish LA wanted to showcase their vibrant community and organization, but weren’t sure how. I worked with them to design a new bold and graphic aesthetic, creating colorful visuals to make their site fun and approachable.
